Who I Am

I am originally an Arkansas native but I’ve been living in Tennessee for the last 30-plus years.  I’ve been married to my wonderful husband since 2006 and we have two lovely daughters.  An avid reader, books have enthralled me ever since my father ordered books in the mail for my sisters and me.

I attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma and earned a degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master’s degree in 2002 also in Elementary Education. I taught   Elementary school for eighteen years. 

 Writing stories in school was always my favorite subject. I taught creative writing for two years during my teaching career. Children’s literature, in particular, has always been close to my heart. It is my hope that my stories will take children on a journey to learn and experience new things.
